FETCH ANTIQUES-A LITTLE BEFORE AND AFTER AND STAGING A CANDLELIGHT TOUR

You should just see Donna and Karan talking over design jobs as they work together.

It's so fun listening to them discuss scale, color  fabric, furniture,  pillows, and wall color...

One of the homes they are working on now is in the beginning phases of a makeover -

and here is a little before and after of a stairwell..
hopefully we will have more photos to come!

After
 Just a small change,
 but oh what a difference
All it takes is being able to problem solve cost effective ways to make a big difference in a space

And that's where these ladies will amaze you with ideas and strategies and creative solutions!

A little paint
and a little elbow grease, and viola
(check out the before below)

 Before...
Whoa!  don't we all just love that builders grade orange wood

Ok, you know i'm kidding, right!?

Here's another example of all of us, Deb, Donna, Karan, and even me wandering around helping a little -
staging a house for the candlelight tour in Hillsborough a couple weekends ago...

Karan did this chair all up in red and white, and painted stripes on this little dresser

Isn't it fun and so charming!
I just want to lick this chair it's so cute!
(i can't believe i just said that)

Deb dressed up this little garden house, i love it!

even "Wallace" the sheep got all gussied up and made a showing for the tour!

All in all, it was chaos, and fun, and the greenery and branches were flying... !

Ok, so now, let's go back to the shop...!

This is the hardest thing to photograph, but the most precious little creation ever, so i just had to share it with you,...
there are a couple of styles...

It's a delicate handmade manger scene
can you see it?

do you see the little star on top?
wow...
what an amazing gift this would be, and the price is great...

See the photo below...
How about one of these on either side of something, anything!...

They're silverplate platter lids, cut in half and fitted to hang on the wall
they're gorgeous!

Just look at the color on the two little Swedish looking chairs
they are like works of art in chair form!

 love...

Check out the curves on this cute little chair !  i think it's a girl chair, don't you?  We should name her!

You should've heard me when i saw this sofa - OMG!
the color of the fabric is exquisite
and as pretty as it is, it is comfortable, with fluffy feathers in the cushion

I did a guy check on it,

I stretched out full length to see if a man could take a nap on it

I'm think any guy or girl 6 feet and under would say it passes the comfy nap test!

So what do ya say, how about a little Fetch in the stocking for the holidays!

Tell your significant other to forget the Snuggie, and the big screen tv, and the crock pot

All you want for Christmas is to have a little fun shopping  at Fetch!

Looks Like the French Fairy Came to Fetch!

Ok, see if you agree with me... The French Fairy brought a great big bag of goodies and let it explode all over the shop!

I'm dyin over these chairs!  Why oh why didn't I find them first!!!?

and, do you know what's incredible, they are insanely comfortable, just right to drape your arm over that little dip on the back
blush tufted silk... oh my god

New painting by moi too, i like this one, thinking of taking it back home!

and what about this!  Incredible...

ok, i'm pretty sure these chairs are mine, i just don't know it yet... soooo yummy
how do you chose when there are too many cool chairs to pick from!
there are also two of these...
hard to get a good shot with it in the window,
but they're this woooonderful shade of faded, softened grayish, tealish blue

I told you.. the freakin french fairy...

here we go again... are you kidding me!? where do they find this stuff?

completely charming in everyway...

I don't even remember if i showed you guys these sofas... check out the antlers on the wall and the light fixtures made from roots, and painting by moi...

oh, and... there are two of these architectural window/door thingys,

and let me tell you, you should run not walk to the shop to buy them. they won't last long.

I have some architectural pieces, old arched windows i bought from Fetch, on either side of my bed,
and they are one of my most favoritest  things in my house...
i know favoritest is not a real word, but i still like to say it

you should get these...

four of these little dining chairs with this yummy fabric...

hmmmmm, reupholster or not?

neutral linen, bleached dropcloth???

ok, not as Frenchy, but fun, and pretty!
check out those awesome funky chevron pillows
...great color...
and those antlers again
they're so epic on that dark wall
sure don't want to met the guy with antlers that size in a dark alley!
in fact what animal has antlers that size for goodness sake???!!

love that pillow with the fringe too...

j'adore this photo with all the texture and soft colors, and the touch of peach in the shell painting
(i can't believe i just said j'adore)

check out the table

complete total, unadulterated bling...

to finish, i just wanted to let you guys know, that a painting i did of a  white cow
now named "Eulalie"
is featured in Miss Mustard Seeds newly released book
"Inspired You"
you can find it at Barnes and Noble or on Amazon

She is the coolest blogger in the world, if you go over to her
you'll be there for days reading all her posts...
She has like a gazillion million followers
and her book is charming and inspirational, and loaded with gorgeous photos...

It'll make you want to go makeover your whole house!

AND, she did it all on a teeny weeny budget

So,  you can imagine how tickled i am to have my painting featured on one full page in the book...
she made it look so good!
this isn't the photo in the book, this is from her blog

I really want to thank all of you amazing customers of Fetch,
the incredible women and men i've met there
who have bought my paintings and approached me in the shop and told me how much you love my work
It's pretty darn wonderful for me when you do that
i promise i won't say j'adore again
It's what keeps me painting, and makes it all worth it

and if i'm at the shop when you come in, and start following you around with the Miss Mustard Seed's book
trying to show you my painting in it, and bragging about how cute the book is
I'm asking ahead of time....
please forgive me...
I'm a little excited about it!

Oh, yeah, and i'm supposed to tell you guys that the shop hours are changing
Sunday's will be mostly closed soon
Karan forgot to tell me when
we're such dorks
so, except by appointment or if you happen to stop by and someone's there, the shop will be closed on Sundays starting sometime soon
hmmm... unless anyone is interested in working for really great discounts?!

or if you need a Fetch shopping fix
you could call Karan, and make her drive over and meet you!
she'll do it too!

that's all for now...

Fetch All Rearranged and Filled up With New Stuff!

Ok, i'm just gonna load you guys up with photos of
 Fabulousness at Fetch...!

Here goes...

aren't those pears just precious with all their little freckles and brown spots
looks like my face before the makeup goes on... sigh...

Just look at the sofas, and those gorgeous antlers... !

karan says they were shed, and whatever creature they came off of ( a moose???)
was not murderized...

I think Fetch looks like it could be in a magazine right now

In fact i just saw one of the amazing hand made root light fixtures you see hanging in the photo... in a designers house that was in a magazine!

See the table, it is an antique wallpaper table, it's made to fold up so the wallpaper artist could carry it with him or her to different jobs

great style, great patina, and extremely unique...

this photo makes things look smaller than they are, that urn under the table is really huge and so wonderful, it would make an incredible centerpiece, maybe even displayed on a stand in a sculptural way...
you must see all of this stuff in person!

one of my favorite Fetch items, the olive bucket...
...only one left...

just a close up shot of part of a mantel, a french chair, and one of those cute plants that some people call teeny weenies....
...nice details...

ok, just pretty...

the photo does NOT do this coffee table justice... the legs are incredible... they look like ballerina legs to me

it's classy, sleek, heavy and well made, good stuff guys...

Check out the huge lantern style light fixture, it is insanely cool, very french...
new painting by moi...

..more french style chairs...

recover, or use just the way they are
i think they're the perfect shade of blue and would go with anything...

comfy too

I don't even know why this mirror is still in the shop...
won't be for long i bet...

chippy corbel, always a good thing...

So that's just a sampling of what's going on in the shop...

you'll have to come see the rest for yourself!
